You’re not dreaming – Paleo Muesli is a reality and we made it here at Bob’s Red Mill! Now those on a grain-free diet can enjoy a satisfying bowl of cereal without the grains. The bedrock of our Paleo Muesli is unsweetened, unsulphured coconut flakes. Tender and fresh, the flakes are tossed with real fruits: blueberries, cranberries, currants, and strawberries. It doesn’t stop there. Each bowlful also spotlights macadamia nuts, almonds, cashews, with sunflower and pumpkin seeds!
This isn’t your traditional Muesli based with oats (but if you’re looking for that, we have four of them here!) It’s a brand-new twist on an old-school recipe, providing 4g fiber and 3g of protein in every delicious bowl. We don’t recommend trying this Muesli hot, so pour milk or cream over it, enjoy it in yogurt or skyr, try it with juice, or eat it straight-up, by the handful.
Of course this grain-free product is naturally gluten free, but we do process it in our dedicated gluten free facility which means it, like all of our gluten free products, is batch-tested to confirm its gluten free status. Safe for Celiacs!
Everyone knows that holidays can be challenging for those following a Paleo or a Grain-Free diet. All the classic holiday baked goodies - gingerbread cookies, holiday bark, pumpkin pies, cranberry bread and more - are not typically made to suit the paleo or grain-free diet, leaving you out of the fun of eating all the holiday treats.Â
What is Paleo? It is a diet that focuses on eating foods similar to those available in the Paleolithic era. The Paleo diet is also known as the stone age diet, hunter-gatherer diet, or caveman diet.
Flour is a common ingredient in foods, and it is also widely used as a thickener in sauces and soups. However, many people are unable to consume gluten because it damages the lining of the small intestine and therefore harms the body’s natural way of processing foods effectively (celiac disease).
People who follow the paleo diet very often have great health results. This is believed to occur because harmful foods that humans are not adapted to eating are removed from the diet. At the same time, there is a dramatic increase in the number of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants added to the diet.
There is no cure for celiac disease and gluten intolerance, which means that sensitive people need to permanently eliminate foods containing gluten from their diet. In order to maximize the health and nutritional benefits, a gluten-free diet should be filled with a variety of naturally gluten-free foods such as fruits, vegetables and lean proteins, as well as gluten-free grains.
The Paleo diet is short for Paleolithic diet, and it is an attempt to recover our ancestral eating habits, those that kept us away from chronic disease and metabolic problems during the Stone Age. It may sound outdated, but it is a very similar approach to the recommendations given by modern medicine.
Are you thinking about diets because you want to lose weight? With the outburst of obesity that we’re experiencing in most countries, dieting has become a trending topic. But even before you start losing weight with Paleo, something will happen in your blood.Â
