Seventy years ago, Mateo Muela Velasco, the founder of our company, decided that the future of olive oil lay in upholding tradition and traditional production methods rather than in mass production. With this wise decision, he became the first person to show that taking care of the quality could lead to better results in the olive oil sector. Starting the business in 1942, they have gone on to win more than 100 prizes in 16 different countries for their various food products.

Mueloliva began by using a traditional cold-pressing system and then developed a unique pressing system that extracts the olive oil using a process that does not require either heat or water. This process preserves each and every one of the qualities of the oil. This process is complemented by rigorous care taken to prevent the product from suffering from any oxidative damage. This is why our extra virgin oils have a high concentration of tocopherols, phytosterols and polyphenols, all components with great nutritional value. Additionally, our products are keto, gluten-free, vegan, paleo, plant-based, AIP, no sugar added, kosher, and dairy-free. 

Using this method, Mueloliva started to produce unique olive oil, which, over time, has become one of the best olive oils in the world and a benchmark within the Spanish market.
