But with everything on the market being full of artificial flavours and loads of sugar, we wanted to make a change. The result? A plant-based milk tea with a pure tea flavour from ethically sourced premium teas.
Founded by Pauline Ang and Olivia Chen in 2019, Twrl Milk Tea began as a result of the pandemic. The constant lockdowns made it impossible for us to buy milk tea and boba tea at the store, and the online options all contained too much sugar, preservatives, and lots of added flavouring - some of them were not even real brewed! We wanted an alternative milk tea that was healthy and you could actually feel good about drinking. Using the highest quality organic tea sourced from non-GMO family farms, they can retain their flavour much better than mass-market teas, allowing us to bypass the need for added flavouring. This allows the brewed tea's aroma shines through in our milk teas. The premium quality of our teas also means it contains more antioxidants and adaptogens than lower-priced canned milk teas. And with our nitro-infusion canning method, you can get the flavourful, and creamy milk tea without any of the added fats or creamers.
