Everything is bigger in Texas, and that includes flavour.

This isn’t just another ordinary nut milk. PKN is the first pecan milk of its kind, created with a purpose: to nourish your body while respecting the land it comes from. It all started with founder Laura Shenkar’s passion for water conservation and protecting freshwater ecosystems. Her work brought her into contact with Texas pecan farmers, many of whom were already used to sustainable farming! This means farming in ways that conserve water, enrich the soil, and restore natural biodiversity to the lands. Using their farming to better the land that helps feed them, rather than take and take from it.

What makes the mighty pecan tree “regenerative”, anyways? The pecan tree is native to the US (and Texas, their home base), and encouraging more pecan trees is good for local ecosystems which already thrive off of the plant as their food source  / home! Pecan trees also thrive in their natural habitat (as hot as Texas can get), and so this water wise crop is used to dry environments. Minimal water, natural support for local ecosystems AND a delicious crop? The mighty pecan is mighty for a reason, and this powerhouse of regenerative farming isn’t holding back.

As great as this all is, pecan farmers have the same issue most food producers do; unused waste bits. The smaller pecan pieces and scraps, which couldn’t fetch high prices, often went unused and discarded. And that’s when it hit her.

Laura partnered with farmers to take their pecan bits, and PKN was born. The result? A rich, creamy plant-based milk that’s good for you AND the land it grows from.  Buttery, toasted, nutty and ready to help you ditch dairy for good. Every carton of PKN upcycles real pecans from local farms, helping to reduce agricultural waste and give a little something extra to those hard working farmers.

PKN believes that food should be as sustainable as it is tasty, and their pecan milks have this in spades.
