Protein Loaded French Toast

Don’t you love the taste of homemade french toast? Why not beef it up with some protein & fibre! Bite into delicious, soft french toast, cooked till golden brown & topped with whipped cream. This simple delight will become a repeat order for breakfast. Have a toast-ally good morning!

 

High Protein, High Fibre, Dairy-Free

 

Ingredients:

1 scoop Progressive Grass Fed Whey Protein

6-8 slices of bread

⅓ cup egg whites

2 whole eggs

½ cup almond milk

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp cinnamon

2 tbsp pure maple syrup

 

For serving: Maple Syrup, Fresh Fruit, Whipped Cream

 

Directions:

1. Add the eggs, egg whites, whey protein, almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract and cinnamon to a shallow dish. Whisk until combined. 

2. Heat a non-stick pan and spray with cooking oil. Keep the heat on medium. 

3. Dunk both sides of a slice of bread in the whisked mixture. 

4. Cook the soaked bread in the pan until golden brown on both sides. 

5. Serve with fresh fruit, whipped cream and maple syrup.
