Floura

Floura is taking sustainability to a whole new level.

Founded by Jeni Britton, Floura bars are made from fruit trimmings (those are the scraps you would normally throw out!), for a minimal waste product. From watermelon rinds to apple peels. Floura takes everything and finds a practical (and delicious!) use for it.

And the result? A plant-based fibre rich snacking bar with delicious fruit flavours. Made with 13g of prebiotic fiber per bar, and a focus on cutting down on food waste. Floura is one healthy snack you can feel food about, inside and out.

There’s 2 things that Jeni Britton is no-nonsense about; fibre deficiency, and food waste. Both things we’re sure you’ve heard your parents tell you. Waste less food! Eat more fibre in your diet!

What if we told you; your parents have been right this entire time?

Shocking, but true.

Food waste is a huge global issue we face, from food thrown out in supermarkets to scraps being left to waste during production. All food which could be used for a better purpose besides simply being thrown away. And most people COULD use more fibre in their diet; eating the right amount of fibre is great for digestion and just overall gut health. Well, Jeni found a way to deal with both problems at once.

Every year, tons of food trimmings, peels, rinds, cores are thrown away because they aren’t usually used for food production. But the fibre in these is just as good, and once Jeni found a way to use it, Floura was born. A prebiotic fibre bar with 13g of fibre, and 12 whole plants used for every bar (those are the scraps, so we’re cutting food waste and getting our fibre!).

Now on a mission to redirect 100 million pounds of food waste to make Floura bars, Jeni has taken the snacking world by storm, one fibre-rich bar at a time. And with delicious flavours like Vanilla Rooibos, Blueberry Matcha & Raspberry Rose, sustainable snacking has never been sweeter.
