These homemade flakey turnovers are super easy to make and filled with fresh berry filling, naturally sweetened with Real Fruit Puree Topping and maple syrup! Fresh and warm, perfect with a hot cup of tea on a Sunday morning
Ingredients
2 cups fresh or frozen mixed berries
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons chia seeds
â…“ cup Superfruit PUREe Real Fruit Topping
1-2 tablespoons maple syrup, optional
1-225g sheet store-bought puff pastry, thawed
1 egg + 2 teaspoons water, for egg wash
Powdered sugar, for sprinkling
Directions:
Add the mixed berries to a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook, stirring occasionally until berries start to break down. Stir in the lemon juice and chia seeds and set aside to cool.
Once cooled, stir in the Superfruit PUREe Real Fruit Topping. Taste, and sweeten to taste with 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup. Store in an airtight container and place in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Preheat the oven to 400℉.
Unfold the thawed puff pastry and lay on a lightly floured surface. Slice the puff pastry into 6 equal-sized squares using a sharp knife.
Transfer the cut pieces onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Scoop 2 tablespoons of filling onto one side of the square, leaving enough space around the edges. Lightly brush the edge of the pastry with egg wash, and fold it over into a triangle shape. Use a fork to seal the edges of the pastry.
Brush the tops of the pastries with the remaining egg wash, and bake for 25-30 minutes until evenly puffed and golden brown. Enjoy warm with a dusting of powdered sugar.

Pack Healthy Snacks: Fill your lunchbox with healthy snacks, made from fruits & vegetables! Fruits & vegetables are packed with Vitamin C and antioxidants that can help boost your immune system and keep your body working its best!
