Vegan Peppermint Candy Cane Oat Milk Mocha

This dreamy dairy-free peppermint mocha recipe made using Califia Farms Barista Oat Milk comes together in 5 minutes and tastes just as great as the cafe version! Snuggle up and enjoy a mug by the fireplace!

 

Vegan, Gluten-Free

Serves 1

 

Ingredients

1½ Tablespoons vegan chocolate chips

½ Tablespoon cacao powder

¼ Teaspoon pure peppermint extract

1 Teaspoon maple syrup (optional, for sweeter result)

2 Shots espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee

¾ Cup steamed Califia Farms Barista Oat Milk (see note)

 

For serving (optional):

Coconut whipped cream or vegan marshmallows 

Crushed candy cane

 

Directions

1. Add the chocolate chips, cacao powder, and peppermint extract to a mug. Add the hot espresso or strong brewed coffee and stir until chocolate is melted and mixture is creamy.

2. Top with steamed Oat Milk, and finish with coconut whipped cream (or marshmallows), and crushed candy cane

Note: If you do not have a milk steamer or frother, simply add all the ingredients to a small pot and whisk until the chocolate has melted and mixture is smooth and frothy.
