High Protein Banza Chickpea Pasta Bucatini With Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

Banza Chickpea Pasta Bucatini 

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium onion finely diced

5 small cloves garlic 

About 2 tablespoons of fresh basil 

1/4 teaspoon pepper flakes

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar

1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes

1/4 cup water

 

Instructions

1. Pour olive oil in a pan on high heat then add the onions until they soften.Add the garlic and stir until aromatic. Add the basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and sugar. 

2. Add the crushed tomatoes and stir in 1/4 cup water.

3. Allow sauce to simmer for 10 minutes to up to one hour. If simmering for a longer time, stir the sauce occasionally and add additional water as needed to keep the sauce at the correct consistency.

4. Add to cooked Banza Chickpea Pasta Bucatini. Garnish with fresh basil.

5. Add fresh ground pepper to taste.
