Burrata Fig Salad With Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing

Burrata Fig Salad With Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing

This isn't just any ordinary salad. It marries the creamiest, dreamiest burrata cheese with the lusciously sweet embrace of figs, all drizzled in a sultry, tangy balsamic vinaigrette. Every mouthful is a symphony of perfectly balanced flavours and luxurious textures you wouldn't be-'leaf''!

Ingredients:

For the salad:

  • 1 burrata cheese ball (about 8 ounces)
  • 6-8 ripe fresh figs, quartered
  • 4 cups mixed greens (e.g., arugula, baby spinach, or spring mix)
  • 1/4 cup toasted walnuts or pecans, roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn into small pieces
  • 2-3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

For the G Hughes Balsamic Vinaigrette:

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the G Hughes Balsamic Vinaigrette: In a small saucepan, combine the G Hughes Balsamic Vinaigrette, honey, and Dijon mustard. Place it over low heat and stir until well combined. Simmer for 3-5 minutes, or until the glaze thickens slightly. Remove from heat and let it cool. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. Prepare the salad:

    • Wash and dry the mixed greens thoroughly and place them in a large salad bowl.
    • Cut the burrata cheese ball into halves or quarters, depending on your preference.
  3. Assemble the salad:

    • Arrange the burrata cheese pieces on top of the mixed greens.
    • Add the quartered figs around the burrata.
    • Scatter the toasted walnuts or pecans and torn basil leaves over the salad.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the salad and season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper.

  5. Drizzle the prepared G Hughes Balsamic Vinaigrette over the salad as a finishing touch. Start with a few tablespoons and adjust according to your taste. You can always serve extra glaze on the side for those who want more.

  6. Serve the Burrata Fig Salad as a delightful appetizer or a light and elegant starter for your meal.
