Ingredients:
¼ cup monkfruit sweetener (or any other granulated sweetener, can also use regular sugar)
1 tbsp cinnamon
2 Kodiak Frozen Protein Power Waffles Buttermilk & Vanilla
For the vegan caramel sauce:
1 can sweetened condensed coconut milk or evaporated coconut milk
½ cup brown sugar
4 tbsp plant-based butter
1 tsp sea salt (optional)
Directions:
1. Begin by making the caramel: Combine sweetened condensed milk and brown sugar in a saucepan. Place over medium heat and stir to combine. Once combined, add butter. Place back on stove and continue to stir until caramel is bubbling and thickened. Remove from heat and add salt (if using) and stir until completely smooth. Pour into a glass/heat-proof jar.
2. To make the waffles: Remove two frozen waffles from the pack and either toast using a toaster or place in the oven at 350 degrees F for 5-7 minutes.
3. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Place warm waffles onto the mixture, pressing down so that the sugar adheres to the waffle.
4. Serve while hot and enjoy with caramel sauce.
